Description for BECKHOFF KL1212 Channel Digital Input Terminal
The KL1212 digital input terminal acquires the binary control signals from the process level and transmits them, in an electrically isolated form, to the higher-level automation unit. The KL1212 generates a short-circuit protected 24 V DC supply voltage for sensors. The sensor outputs can be switched on or off by the controller. A short-circuit or an open lead in the sensor supply is detected, and the terminal status is relayed to the controller via the K-bus.
